After graduating in Law from Milan’s prestigious Universita Statale, Giorgia joined the premier luxury brand Rene Caovilla in 1998. She worked alongside her father, the legendary designer Rene, responsible for the international growth of the firm. In 2006 Giorgia was proud to be awarded the Premio Minerva, an annual prize presented to Italy’s top female entrepreneur.
Originally conceived by artist Renato Guttoso it is awarded by the President of the Republic to those women who inspire others though the quality, values and enthusiasm they successfully promote.
In 2010 Giorgia established her own company, O Jour and presented it to great acclaim in New York City. The first collection represented her personal wish to create shoes that matched her taste and her lifestyle that of a busy working family woman determined to remain feminine, fashionable and comfortable. Today, O Jour is highly regarded worldwide and its products are sold in the best concept and department stores.
Giorgia Caovilla has gracefully imposed her innovative shoe concept by creating a style that deeply resembles her a hyperfeminine, radiant style, enriched with romantic and sophisticated details that make O Jour’s solid, clear lines truly unique. Giorgia Caovilla lives in Padua with her husband and daughters Serena and Gemma, surrounded by the greenery of Riviera del Brenta where the best Italian shoe manufacturers have been working for centuries.
